Make sure to start your cover letter with your previous success and background. What have you done in the recent past that makes you a good fit for this company? It should be tailored to the job you are applying for. Make sure to make it about your skills and qualifications and use as many keywords as you can naturally from the job description itself. Make sure to show that you are dependable and if you have worked from home in the past definitely include that, not everyone is cut out to work from home.
Why are you the best fit for the job?
Your resume will have your relevant work experience, but in this section of the cover letter, you will need to translate that into how it works for this job. You’ll need to make sure to make everything relevant. Focus on two or three skills that make you the best candidate, and even use bullet points if you need to. Less is more, keep it brief but focused.
Give a call to action.
You’ll want to directly ask for an interview. Some statistics have shown that those who blatantly ask are more likely to get the call. Be enthusiastic and show confidence. Don’t forget to include your contact information, and be sure to thank the reader for their time and consideration.
Looking for a work at home job is hard work in itself. There is a lot of competition for jobs and you’ll want to stand out from the crowd to get hired as quickly as possible.
