So you are interested in making money from home? It sounds great, right? Who wouldn’t love to make money in their pajamas or even while they sleep? This is the ultimate guide to working from home.
Start a blog
There very first thing you want to do to make money from how is to start a blog. You can check out this post here:

Advertise on your blog
Ads are a controversial thing. I do have ads on my blog, but I only have a couple. If your site has ads all over it, it looks bad and distracts from your content. You also don’t make much money from ads until you get a decent amount of page views. Most bloggers advise to ditch ads or simply wait till you can sign up for a higher paying advertising company.
Offer a service
The easiest way to make money blogging right from the start is to use your blog as a platform to offer a service. Some examples of this could be:
Writing blog content as a ghostwriter
VA (virtual assistant)
Some blogs lend themselves well to sponsored posts. I think this is especially true for food blogs. You connect with companies that send you products to review. I have not done this on my own blog. I think if done well this can be good but sometimes its hard to sound genuine promoting some random product. This will be something for you to consider.
I love affiliate marketing! Basically, affiliate marketing is using links to promote products you use and love to your readers. They click your link and you make a small commission that is usually paid through check or Paypal. You can make money this way even with a small audience if done right.
Create a product
Most bloggers these days are creating online courses. This can be a great way to make a lot of money sharing your knowledge in a semi-passive way. It takes a lot of work upfront but you can earn money 24/7 once you set up a sales funnel through your content and email list.
You’ll want to network with other bloggers in your niche. You don’t want to be spammy and comment all over their blog or anything, but maybe reach out when you share a piece of their content. Don’t expect anything and just see how it goes. You could make some friends and learn something from them.
Determine your audience
When writing a blog you’ll want to make sure you are helping your audience. It is crucial to find out who they are and how you can help them. The easiest way is to ask them but you can also look in your analytics which may be helpful. These people are your biggest fans and are probably also on your email list, so you could just simply ask them what they need help with.
You should look for blogs in your niche to guest post on. Don’t expect to land on huge blogs but reach out to those in your niche with a similar size following. Help each other out. Be prepared to write for free.
Start an email list
You should start an email list from day one. With new GDPR rules, you need to make sure you are following the law for your EU readers. I use MailerLite. They are free for your first 1,000 subscribers and make automation really easy even on a free account.
Create content to aid in monetization
Whatever path you choose for monetization, you want to make sure your content is helping you reach that end goal. For instance, if you are creating a course, you’ll want to write blog posts that lead your reader to your course through a sales funnel. If you are using affiliate marketing, you’ll want to use tutorials to use your links in an effective way.
